The M4 chip has an 8-core CPU and a 9-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and it is up to 30 percent faster than iPad Air with M3. With 12GB of unified memory and a memory bandwidth of 120GB per second, apps such as Final Cut Pro and Pixelmator Pro stay responsive, and supported games show more realistic lighting, reflections and shadows.
