The Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch with the M5 Pro chip brings up to an 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU, 24GB of unified memory, Thunderbolt 5 and a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display.

The Apple M5 Pro chip comes in two versions: a 15-core CPU with a 16-core GPU and 1TB SSD, or an 18-core CPU with a 20-core GPU and 2TB SSD, both with 24GB of unified memory. Each GPU core has a Neural Accelerator, with hardware ray tracing, a 16-core Neural Engine and 307GB per second memory bandwidth. Compared with the previous generation it delivers up to 4x the AI performance and up to 50% more graphics performance.

The 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display shows 3024x1964 pixels with 1000 nits sustained XDR brightness, 1600 nits peak for HDR and ProMotion up to 120Hz. Up to three external displays can run alongside it.

Three Thunderbolt 5 ports reach up to 120Gb per second, alongside HDMI, an SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3 and a headphone jack. The Apple N1 wireless chip brings Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. The SSD reads and writes up to 2x faster than the previous generation.

A 12MP Center Stage camera, six speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos and three studio-quality microphones handle calls and media. The 72.4Wh battery lasts up to 22 hours of video streaming, and fast charging reaches 50% in about 30 minutes with a 96W or higher adapter. It runs macOS Tahoe with Apple Intelligence, weighs 1.60kg and comes in Space Black or Silver.
